Snapshots
Another obscure duo that bridged the gap between R & B and soul, the Snapshots only had this one 45 on Federal. I love the interplay of the voices on "I Need You" and the way the baritone sax leads the horn section. The presence of Johnny Otis’ name on the writing credit would indicate a West Coast origin for this disc – as well as the possibility that the great man’s orchestra provides the rich instrumental backing.

Note ~ There is another group called the Snapshots who had a single release on the Ohio based Tammy label. Is this the same group?
